Investigations & Expressions: An introduction to Reggio-inspired and inquiry-based pedagogy

Are you interested in deepening classroom engagement through an inquiry-based approach? Do you want to learn more about applying Reggio-inspired principles to your classroom environment? This two-day session is designed to introduce you to inspiring ideas from educators in Reggio and North America. We will begin with an overview of history and theory, and then look at how you can develop exciting, emergent projects in your own context by developing your capacity to listen carefully to children and make their thinking visible. In hands-on sessions with members of the Junior School team (JK to Grade 6), you will explore strategies, successes and dilemmas, around navigating inquiry within the Ontario Curriculum.
